Hyper Turny is a 2-4 local multiplayer game. The game was originally created by me as a hobby project.
I wanted to create a fighting game that did not rely on button combinations.
After creating a prototype and having a few succesful playtests, a few other students became interested in developing it.
Together we took Hyper Turny from a hobby project to a university project.
The team grew for this phase and we spent fourteen work days to develop Hyper Turny.
Through our university we were allowed to create builds for the PlayStation 4 as well.
During the project my main role was implementing the core gameplay and leading the other programmers.
I also frequently talked with the designers and artists on my team about implementing everyone's work.
The game was nominated for two Dutch Game Awards (Best Student Technical Achievement, Best Student Game Design).
